WWII Haversack, M-1928
I recently came across a company called WWII Impressions who’s slogan is American made uniforms that fit and last like the originals. They have a ton of pouches and equipment for sale here. It’s a great way to pay homage to those who served our countries and the designers of the gear that carried them through.
It’s interesting to look back at pack design and see where we’ve come from. I imagine these days consumers would gawk at the weight of this cotton webbing, canvas material pack, even compared to the heavy ballistic Cordura some packs are made of. I’m sure everyone will be pleased that shoulder straps have come a long way from this design.
I like the top pocket and the way this pack completely opens flat, putting even a clamshell opening to shame. Definitely worth checking these out.
